Event Tickets and Weekend 'Stay & Play' pass

 

Can I buy singular tickets to just the New Years Eve or New Years Day parties? 

Yes, definitely! You can purchase your tickets on this website at 'Single Event Tickets'. Please note that whilst you can purchase these tickets individually, the 'Stay & Play' passes give you much more bang for your buck, with a whole heap of extra’s such as:

  • 3 night's accommodation

  • Entry to New Years Eve & New Years Day parties

  • Ferries to and from the island

  • $60 in F&B spending money

  • Private beach

  • Access to all Accommodation facilities & Water Sports *Excludes jet skiing & diving

 

How do I book a weekend pass and what's required? Registration and a $99 deposit is initially required to secure your accommodation which is included in your Stay & Play pass. Full payment is required 10 days prior to the festivals commencement. IslandLife reserves the right to automatically charge overdue accounts a month out from the event unless cancellation of tickets has been done via email to Bookings@yaycations.com.au

 

Ticket exchanges & Cancellations 

Due to the booking of beds, infrastructure, buses, transportation and supplies, Island Life reserves the right to uphold all bookings to the following terms and conditions in case of cancellation:

* Exchanges are permitted. If the ticket values are identical, no fees apply. Please call 1300 433 999

* No refunds will be offered unless the event organisers fail to deliver on the event fundamentals, cancel the event or change the date of the event. 

* Deposits are non-refundable but are transferrable to a later event with Yaycations at managements discretion

* IslandLife reserves the right to withdraw complete payment from your credit card if you cancel under the following conditions:

  • 3 month cancellation out from the event: 50% of the total booking fee will be non-refundable & if the attendee has only paid for their deposit, Island Life reserves the right to automatically deduct 50% of the booking automatically from your credit card.

  • 2 month cancellation out from a event: 75% of the total booking fee will be non-refundable & if the attendee has only paid for their deposit, Island Life reserves the right to automatically deduct 75% of the booking automatically from your credit card.

  • 1 month cancellation out from a event: 100% of the total booking fee will be non-refundable & if the attendee has only paid for their deposit, Island Life reserves the right to automatically deduct 100% of the booking automatically from your credit card. 

*For any cancellations of bookings, booker MUST email Bookings@Yaycation.com.au and give notice in writing. Booking cancellations will not be accepted over phone or any other forms of communication.

 

I have bought a Stay & Play pass however I can’t make it, can my friend take my place? 

For sure! Contact us via email & let us know all the details is so we can make the necessary adjustments to your booking. 

 

I bought a event ticket to one of the parties but I can no longer attend. Can I give this ticket to my friend?

I made a deposit for the Stay & Play pass but I haven't received a booking confirmation email or SMS, what do I do?

Send us an email at bookings@yaycations.com.au with your name and booking reference number and one of our friendly staff can sort this out.  

I've somehow lost my ticket and confirmation email! What do I do now?

No need to panic!

If you have a Stay & Play pass, all you need to do is download TIPI App before you get the ferry over to the island, search for your booking and then upon arrival you will be given Festival Wristbands!

Do I need to print off my ticket?

No. Tickets will be sent via email and can be scanned on your phone upon entry

What exactly is the F&B spending money?

The Stay & Play pass includes a $60 voucher. You can use these over the bar at Base just like real money. 

 

Are airport transfers included in my ticket?

Airport transfers are NOT included in your ticket. Have a look around and see if you can see any babes around you who is heading to IslandLife and share a taxi!

Does my weekend pass include flights? 

No but at the moment flights to Townsville from all major cities are relatively cheap so get booking! 

 

 

Party and Island information 

 

Is Islandlife an 18+ event? 

Yes. Failure to supply ID will result in refusal of entry. We don't want to be a buzz kill so remember to bring ID in the form of either:

 

•   Current valid Australian driver's license (with photo)

•   Current Passport

•   Government Issued Proof of Age Card

•   International Driver’s License (must contain a photograph)

 

Where do we fly into?  Townsville airport

Where are the parties held and how far are they from the accommodation?

Both parties are held at Base, Magnetic Island. Shared Bungalows & Camping are situated at the venue, for the Double/Twin rooms it is a 5 minuet drive - a daily shuttle will be provided. 

What time can I check-in and when's check out?

Check-in to Base is 2:00pm whereas check out is 10:00am.

30th December - New Years Pre-Party

31st December - New Years Eve Party

1st January - New Years Day Party

 

I heard there's Island activities. What are they and how do I book them?

You heard correctly! Magnetic Island has some amazing water and land activities such as jet skiing, snorkeling, diving, hiking & yoga. Our friendly staff at our activities desk, located on site will be able to help plan your adventure.

Who's performing? Bag Raiders, King Social & Hook & Sling plus heaps of local supports

What if I drive?  You will need to leave your car on the main land unless you want to pay for a Barge to bring it over.

 

How do I get to Magnetic Island from Townsville? 

Catch a ferry from Townsville wharf which will drop you at Magnetic Island, from there you will get a IslandLife shuttle to the event. Stay & Play packages include ferry ticks and bus transfers on the Island. If you have a event ticket, you can purchase tickets at the wharf or online via https://www.sealinkqld.com.au/timetables/  

 

What does the VIP upgrade get me?  This gets you complimentary Food and Beverage between 7 & 9pm on New Years Eve and a meet and Greet with the artists.

 

What do I need to bring? Your swimmers, sunscreen, a towel, toiletries and something to party in. 

 

What the temperature like there?  Late 20s, early 30s

 

Can we bring alcohol?  You can drink on the Island and their bottle shops.  You cannot bring alcohol into BASE though as it's licensed.  

 

What happens at the Pre-Party?  Once you settle in, there will be activities at BASE to fill your afternoon.  A long lunch will be held at sunset - a great way to meet some new friends!

 

What happens New Years Eve?  Drag yourself out of bed and down to the beach for a Beach Volleyball session, Yoga, Snorkeling, and more to fill your morning. From 5pm we will be kicking off with some DJ's and party vibes to kick of the year in style.

 

What happens New Years Day?  Once midday strikes, the pool party will kick off and it will be party party party for the rest of the night.

 

What happens on the 2nd?  You can chill on the beach, explore the Island or get involved in some activities until it's time to jump in your transfer and head to the ferry.

 

What happens when the ferry arrives in Townsville?  You will need to get a taxi to the airport! *HINT - ask around and see if there is anyone else who wants to share with you to save on money.
